“My husband and I did the 28-day GLGH program together. We were both initially drawn to the program because we had gained a few extra pounds over the last 3-4 years. As we went through the GLGH, our experience became about so much more than just weight loss. We slept better, felt better, and were less moody, felt more focused and less irritable. An added bonus for us was that we really became united in our approach to feeding our entire family - we have two children, ages 6 and 8.
Since the program finished, we have incorporated many of the things we learned into our daily life. I now plan our family meals with the objective of remaining as true to the program as possible, within reason. We have added back some things that are off limits during the 28 days, but with complete knowledge about how they make us feel. Our vegetable consumption has probably quadrupled and we don't eat any refined foods. We drink wine probably 4-5 nights a week and I am feeding my passion for chocolate and cheese. Amazingly, we both have continued to lose weight. More importantly, we feel open to new ideas (I just added yoga to my weekly routine) and more in tune with our bodies. People tell my husband he looks 15 years younger.
