In our modern world, we are continuously bombarded with the promise of an easy path to health and fitness. The media and advertisers are constantly pushing the next big diet, beauty secret, or magic formula to keep disease at bay. With such a dizzying amount of information out there, many are in need of a simpler, more honest approach to health and fitness.

At onvo, we believe there is no panacea for good health — no crazy alchemy to give you six-pack abs in 30 days or get rid of those extra 20 pounds in two weeks.

We founded onvo with the fundamental belief that strong health grows out of a mindful commitment to the authentic, time-tested philosophies of health and fitness that have been around for decades.

Our movement is led by Dr. Mark Adams, a Pacific Northwest Naturopathic Physician who believes that health and life are one and the same, and that an individual’s success in both comes from the support of a community of like-minded, dedicated people who believe in achieving our best self through a natural, authentic approach to health and fitness that balances the demands of our modern world with the timeless wisdom of those who’ve come before us.

Dr. Mark’s philosophy is that the human body has an inherent wisdom toward good health, and the most effectual approach to health is to put yourself and your body in a context where that tendency can be expressed rather than suppressed.

Like the strongest tree, good health has deep roots in rich, unadulterated soil. It’s from these solid roots that we can begin building a lifetime of wellness, growing slowly and steadily from the ground up. At the most basic level, this means giving your body more of what it needs (natural) and taking away what it doesn’t need (unnatural). In the end, this slow and steady approach will help you to achieve your goal of looking good, feeling better and being healthier.

It is in this old church that our story, the story of onvo, begins.
